What is an event token?

One token that runs one fixed strategy on prediction markets, for one team, for one season. The keeper trades it game by game.

What it holds

An event token holds a vault that runs one strategy for one team: back the team to win every game, or fade it, backing the other side. The strategy is set at launch and can’t change.

Between games the vault holds cash. Each game, it stakes a set share of its value on the strategy’s side.

How it runs, game by game

Koturo’s keeper places every trade the strategy calls for, and publishes a record of each game: what it staked, what happened, and the value before and after.

  • A game with no market, or no fill, is skipped, and the stake stays in cash.
  • A cancelled game, or a tie in American football, settles half and half.
  • In soccer, backing a team to win loses on a draw.
  • After the season the vault holds cash, and the token can still be sold at its value.
  • If losses take it under 1% of its launch value, it winds down.

Buying and selling

The creator’s seed is the vault’s first cash at launch. Every buy after that adds to it, and every sale takes from it, at the token’s value:

  • Buy: pay USDC. It goes into the token’s vault and joins the cash it stakes from, so each game’s stake grows with it. New tokens are then minted to you.
  • Sell: hand your tokens back. Their share of the vault’s cash is paid to you in USDC, and the stakes that follow shrink to match.
  • Orders fill at the next value the keeper publishes. While the team is playing, they wait for the result, so nothing joins or leaves a stake mid-game.

Launching one

Choose a league and a team, back it or fade it, how much of the token’s value to stake each game, and how much risk it takes: which games it bets, from moderate favourites only to long shots too. Name it, give it a ticker, and seed it with at least 50 USDC. Every token starts at $10.

What it costs

Buying and selling each take a fee, part of which goes to the token’s creator. It’s shown before you confirm.

Each game, the prediction market’s own trading fee on the stake comes out of the vault.

Checking it yourself

Every event token’s page shows its strategy, its value, and the game-by-game record, and names its own prediction-market wallet, so anyone can check its cash and positions.

Your idea, as one token.
